As human beings, we have a lot of hidden powers, some of which you may not have even heard about. Day by day, I get more amazed by our potential and capacities, therefore I decided to share this with you. I don’t know how many of you are familiar with this term of ,, subconscious mind”, so first of all, let me explain it.
There are 2 parts of our minds on which we will focus: the conscious and the subconscious mind. They are both amazing tools that work together, but serve different purposes. The conscious mind is that part that you can be aware of, the one that helps us to think and talk rationally. Unfortunately, it has a limited memory. For example, if you have troubles remembering dates, names and so on, this is a clear sign of the limitation of the conscious mind. Moreover, you can only hold a single thought. That’s why if you try to do more things at the same time, your focus will switch from one thing to another and it will eventually weaken your concentration.
In comparison, the subconscious mind works full-time, with limitless storage capacity. It controls your emotions, involuntary functions and habits, whether you are awake or you are asleep. You don’t need to think consciously when you breathe, when your heart beats or when you blink. The subconscious part does all of these for you, communicating continuously with every existing cell in your body. Your subconscious mind has stored every memory, thought and emotion since the day you were born. Every experience, everything that you have ever seen and every sound you have ever heard is there.
That’s the reason why the subconscious mind is so powerful, yet so dangerous. A lot of our early memories are implemented in our subconscious mind, without our will. It’s the place where you hold all of your beliefs, even the ones about yourself. Thoughts are like seeds, so what you sow, you reap. Be careful on this one. Your current situation reveals the kind of thoughts your subconscious mind accepts as being true. So your reality will match the subconscious image that you have.
To be more specific, if you think about yourself that you are ugly, unlovable or incapable, your subconscious mind will store this belief and ultimately show up as true in your life through different circumstances. That’s why ,, positive thinking” is not just another wellness trend, but rather a necessity in humans’ lives. That’s why you should choose to think thoughts accordingly to how you want your life to look like. It’s totally up to you.
If used properly, your subconscious mind can help you in every area of your life, offering you the financial abundance you have dreamed for so long, the happiness that you missed, the health you lost and the relationships you have longed for. But how do you do that? I will share with you a simple and quick exercise, that I’ve been practicing for a while and it was really helpful.
Take a piece of paper and write down how you want your life to look like, in every aspect and fields. Be as specific as possible and only use the present tense. Avoid sentences with ,, no”. Instead of writing, ,, I don’t want to eat junk food anymore”, transform it into ,, I eat only healthy, nourishing food”. Write as many sentences as you want, but for a clearer vision I would say that the more the better. Now that you are done with your list, sit down and take a few deep breaths so you can calm the chaos in your mind and bring your attention back to the present moment.
As you read your sentences, either out loud, or mentally, try to visualize those statements as being true. This way, you attract them easier and faster. If your affirmation sounds like: ,, I travel every month to new and wonderful destinations”, try to visualize how you buy your flight ticket, how you get to the airport, what you are going to see. Get in detail as much as you can. Please don’t reject this technique till you don’t try it. Only afterward you will be able to say if it works for you or not.
It’s your life, your wishes and your dreams. We all have the same tools and the difference is just the way we choose to use them. I hope you give it a try, but don’t forget that you have to take action towards accomplishing all those goals. THINK. SPEAK. ACT. That’s the way.
